Falls Response Service
Our Falls Response Service is a 24/7 monthly membership service for people who may need assistance following a fall at home. For £29.99 per month, members have access to our Falls Response Team 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with no additional call-out fees.
Working alongside your existing telecare or pendant provider, Rapid Response Ambulance is set up as an emergency response contact. If your alarm is activated and you require attendance following a fall, your telecare provider can contact us directly to dispatch our Falls Response Team.
Falls Response when you need it
Our Falls Response Service provides a dedicated response for members who have fallen at home and are unable to get themselves back up.
Rather than automatically relying on family, carers or an emergency ambulance simply because assistance from the floor is required, your existing telecare provider can contact Rapid Response Ambulance to arrange attendance.
Our responder will attend within a maximum of 90 minutes, assess you following the fall and, where it is safe and appropriate, use specialist Mangar lifting equipment to assist you from the floor.
Following the lift, we will reassess you and determine whether any further care or escalation is required.
Our service commitments
Our Falls Response Service is designed to provide reassurance when it matters most. With support available 24 hours a day, a maximum 90-minute response time and simple monthly membership with no call-out fees, you can have confidence that help is available should you or a loved one fall and be unable to get back up.

How does the Falls Response Service work?
When you need assistance following a fall, our Falls Response Service provides a clear and coordinated response from the moment help is requested through to your assessment and aftercare. Here’s what you can expect when the service is activated.
01
You activate your existing pendant
If you fall at home and are unable to get yourself back up, activate your existing telecare pendant or alarm as you normally would.
Your telecare provider will speak with you and determine what assistance is required.
02
Your telecare provider contacts us
When an activation requires attendance for a fall, your telecare provider contacts our Falls Response Team directly.
We can work with any telecare provider that can register Rapid Response Ambulance as your nominated emergency response contact.
03
Our Falls Response Team is dispatched
Once we receive and accept the request for attendance, we dispatch a Falls Response responder to your address.
Our service has a maximum response time of 90 minutes.
04
We assess before we lift
When we arrive, we don't simply lift you from the floor.
Our responder will assess what has happened and look for signs that could indicate an injury, illness or another reason why assisting you from the floor may not be appropriate.
05
We help you safely from the floor
Where our assessment indicates that it is safe and appropriate, our responder will use specialist equipment, including Mangar lifting equipment, to assist you from the floor in a controlled and dignified manner.
If your condition, presentation or suspected injuries indicate that an emergency ambulance is required, our team will arrange the appropriate escalation and remain with you until the emergency ambulance arrives, providing ongoing support and monitoring as appropriate.
06
We reassess you and escalate when necessary
Our involvement doesn't end as soon as you're off the floor. Following the lift, we will reassess you and determine whether you can safely remain at home or whether further support is required.
Depending on the circumstances, this may include: 999, NHS 111, Falls prevention services
Keep your existing telecare provider. Add Rapid Response Ambulance.
Working with your existing pendant service
You don't need to replace your current pendant or Careline service to become a Falls Response member.
Our membership has been designed to work alongside your existing telecare provider.
As part of setting up your membership, Rapid Response Ambulance can be added as an emergency response contact with your provider.
When you activate your pendant and the telecare operator identifies that attendance is required following a fall, they can contact our Falls Response Team directly.
We work with any telecare provider
Our service isn't restricted to one particular pendant, alarm or telecare company.
Provided your telecare provider can register Rapid Response Ambulance as an emergency response contact, our Falls Response membership can work alongside your existing service.
